This prize, named in honour of the late Dr. Augustine Komaranchath, recognizes his legacy as an eminent urologist and a founding member of the Urological Association of Kerala. Dr. Komaranchath made history in April 1986 by performing the first kidney transplant in Kerala’s private sector.
All UAK members are eligible to apply for this award, which is presented for the best published paper during the period from August 1 of the preceding year to July 31 of the current year, ahead of each Annual Conference of UAK.
